Description
This position reports to the supervisor named in the letter of appointment, and is accountable to this supervisor for the performance of all professional activities at the Center. The intern is a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and generate clinical formulations that inform the individualized treatment plans for the clients on your caseload.

Provide individual, family, and group therapy for a case load to be determined by your supervisor.

Maintain all necessary electronic health records and scheduling requirements
- Participate in child specific interdisciplinary treatment plan review meetings
- Attend psychiatric evaluation and medication management appointments with psychiatry team for clients on caseload.
- Participate in Intern Seminars, Staff Meetings, Conferences, Community Activities, In-Service Training Activities, and Workshops identified by the Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County as conducive for growth and skill development.
- Collaborate with outside providers including but not limited to educational providers and attending PTT’s and 504 meetings as a representative for the client and program.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an accredited Master’s Degree or higher school of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling or Psychology Program.
- Some experience and interest in working with children and families
