    JOB SUMMARY:

    The PK-12 MTSS Behavior Coach is responsible for supporting Davison Community Schools personnel and school district programs for students in grades PK-12 regarding the planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluation of behavior support services within a Multi-Tiered System of Support that they also support the development and implementation.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s degree required.
    • Experience as a consultant of students with special needs preferred.
    • Experience working in and extensive knowledge of the necessary components of a successful Multi-Tiered System of Support.
    • Minimum of three years of satisfactory experience working with general education and/or students with disabilities in a school setting required.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and oral communication with administrators, staff, parents/guardians, and community agencies.
    • Demonstrated enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, school personnel and community agencies.
    • Knowledgeable about educational organizations, educational law and the areas of educational assessment and evaluation.
    • Ability to utilize district technology and work to maintain proficiency, as required skill sets change with technology and the needs of the district.
    • Experience with collecting and analyzing behavior data.
    • Demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position.
    • Works successfully as a member of the team.
    • Has the ability to utilize meeting mechanics to effectively run meetings, action plan, and follow through utilizing a coaching model.
    • Demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism at all times.
    • Ability to travel to and from buildings within the Davison Community School District and other agencies.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
    • Punctuality and good attendance are requirements for the position.
    • Exercise good judgment and make decisions in accordance with board policies and established administrative guidelines.

    DUTIES:
    • Provides consultant services on individual students served by the Davison Community School District.
    • Provides consultation to administrators, instructional and support staff on the planning and implementation of behavior support interventions/strategies/programs.
    • Provides professional development activities to school personnel in the collection of behavior data, functional analysis, and multi-tiered system of support for social emotional and behavior invention.
    • As needed, participates as a supporting member of a Student Assistance Team, Tier 2 or Tier 3 Behavior Support Team meetings, or Individualized Education Program Team (IEPT) meetings.
    • Participates in staff development and professional development activities.
    • Services as a liaison to community agencies regarding behavior support and related services.
    • Provides consultation to school personnel regarding relationships with parents outside agencies and medical professionals concerning behavior support and other related services.
    • Supports the district system development to implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for behavior.
    • Guides District school personnel problem solving and implementation planning through a data based decision-making process designed to use capacity, fidelity, and student outcome data.
    • Has a basic understanding of academic and behavioral development milestones for children in grades PK-12.
    • Consults, counsels and collaborates with parents, school personnel, students and appropriate community agencies regarding behavioral and educational concerns developed in a multi-tiered system of support.
    • Consistently models effective leadership capabilities.
    • May serve as a resource person to school district improvement teams related to the assigned area of responsibility.
    • Represents the district on various community agencies and professional organizations as appropriate to the assigned area.
    • Support district-wide professional development.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    SALARY: Per the DEA Master Agreement
