What You Do
As a Summer Youth Employment Mentor in our Youth Services program, you are responsible for providing on-the-job training and coaching for our youth persons served. You will work with a group of 4-6 students at a local business which is often a golf course, city park, or retail locations. There is often an opportunity to stay on throughout the school year if you are interested. You offer opportunities for growth with these individuals and learn more about their goals to provide the best possible services. In this position, you will work primarily at Brower Park. This position will be temporary for 8. The schedule will be Monday - Thursday from 9am - 1pm. The wage for this position will be $14.50hr with an end of season bonus of $50 per week. (Must complete program to receive bonus).

Employment Details:
Pay - $14.50hr
Bonus - $50 per week upon completing program. Must complete program without missing excessive time.
Program runs 8 weeks starting the week of June 9th with the week of 4th of July off. The hours are 5 hours daily 9am-1pm Monday through Thursday.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with youth and/or people with disabilities. Able to communicate effectively with all customers including participants, employers, and co-workers. Physically able to provide training to participants on all aspects of the job either with or without accommodations. This position requires Medium Work: Able to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and 10-25 pounds frequently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in an employment training program or other community-based rehabilitation program. Completion of training relevant to position i.e., First Aid, CPR, Gentle Teaching, Mental Health First Aid, and Sign Language. Teaching degree or experience as a para professional.
