What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Manager position at MID MINNESOTA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION?
Oversees and directs branch operations for multiple branches and Member Resource Center while promoting a sales and service culture in all aspects of operations with the member, staff and management. Maintain overall responsibility for efficient operation of the branch delivery channel as well as day-to-day deposit function and achievement of assigned sales, financial and member satisfaction goals. Create and monitor policies and procedures applicable to these areas and provide guidance to personnel engaged in these activities. Support Branch Managers to ensure their objectives are met. Responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations in all areas are in compliance with all regulatory guidelines.
Fundamental Duties

- Responsible for supporting department goals, analyzing accomplishments, and ensuring day-to-day activities are consistent with credit union overall goals.
- Responsible to develop and maintain relationships with credit union members by determining member needs and maximizing all opportunities to offer credit union products and services.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of branch, dept and deposit functions. Work closely with VP of Branch Experience in defining and meeting objectives for these branches.
- Works closely with VP of Strategy in promoting sales initiatives and goals.
- Works closely with Branch Managers to implement sales strategies and achieve sales objectives. Assist branch managers in implementing sales tasks and roles for each member-contact position.
- Carry out initiatives identified by the VP of Strategy, to support a proactive selling environment by implementing sales strategies to achieve sales objectives.
- Provide assistance to branch managers in maintaining their annual, 90 day, and weekly sales planning processes.
- Maintain sales and incentive tracking programs, to monitor, measure, reward, and reinforce performance.
- Remain current on changes within the legal, regulatory, economic, competitive and technological environments, which may affect the branch operations function. Ensure operation procedures are following applicable federal and state regulations.
- Follow the direction of VP of Strategy and VP of Branch Experience to support the branch strategic plans and budgets to accomplish objectives.
- Supervise and direct daily operation of the Branch Managers. Assign work priorities and control workflow including staff coverage. Monitor information that staff provides to membership to ensure accuracy and initiate training as needed. Implement and execute all executive management approved decisions. Ensure that direct reports are granted proper authority and responsibility to carry out assigned functions. Review systems to reduce duplication of effort and unnecessary work while maintaining internal controls.
- Direct responsibility for supervisory functions including hires, terminations, promotions, time off requests, transfers, performance appraisals, training, development and coaching of staff and interpretation of credit union rules and policies for personnel.
- Conduct all personnel functions in accordance with applicable statutes (e.g., EEO, OSHA, Fair Labor, etc).
- Ensure cash management audit functions are conducted and prepare audit reports outlining scope of audit and its results to the Branch Managers to ensure all branches maintain appropriate cash levels. Perform other audits, as applicable.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for knowing all aspects of the credit union's product line and services including rates, terms, and fees.
- Analyze existing departmental systems and procedures. Make changes necessary to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with branch staff to ensure that the overall operation of the credit union runs smoothly.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Director of Branch Operations.
