Primary Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate staff members.
- Manage the reception area, ensuring it is tidy and presentable.
- Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for staff.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of office management and procedures.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Abilities:
- Handle interactions with clients and staff with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to work full-time in the office.
- Sit at a desk for extended periods.
- Answer and speak on the phone clearly and professionally.
- Other characteristics:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work full-time in the office.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, welcoming demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Dedication to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles.
- Ability to answer telephone calls and speak on the telephone
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a related field or specific certifications.
- Work, volunteer, or lived experience with diverse economic, social, rural, and/or cultural communities
- Proficiency in a second language, especially Spanish and Somali.
Compensation Information:
- $50,781 to $51,851 per year, depending on experience.
