Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Driller to join our team. The ideal candidate must have experience operating a Directional Bore machine for a miniumum of 2 years. As a Driller, you will be responsible for operating drilling equipment on construction sites, ensuring safety and efficiency in all operations. Duties
- Operate drilling machinery and equipment, including horizontal drilling rigs and backhoes, to perform drilling tasks.
- Conduct site assessments to determine the best drilling methods and techniques for each project.
- Dig trenches and holes as required for installation of utilities or other infrastructure.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure that drilling activities align with project timelines and specifications.
- Maintain and inspect equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.
- Assist with the operation of additional heavy equipment such as graders and tankers as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.
- Experience in backhoe operation and horizontal drilling techniques is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy machinery operation are preferred.
