Yard Supervisor
The Yard Supervisor is responsible for leading, training, delegating, planning, and driving our production team to ensure our customers receive a world-class precast product. Through collaboration with our Production Manager, Production Supervisors, Quality Team, Engineering Team, and Field Teams, they support our vision to be the safest and most innovative precast building company.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and plan manpower needs, start times, storage requirements to production levels (months ahead), and any other special requirements required for handling and storing product in the yard
- Develop and execute on production plans to help teams safely hit goals (loads done, off-loads, line clear, A-frames clear ext.). Communicate wins with the team(s)
- Work with logistic companies to ensure enough trucks and trailers are ready to meet deliveries. If not, then setting up meeting with the field team to determine a plan to best meets both Mid-States and our Customer’s needs.
- Work with Field Scheduler to plan trucks needed in the coming week(s). Working with the Field Scheduling Manager on timing of deliveries.
- Track and manage KPI's, audits, equipment maintenance cycles, and ongoing training related to safety and efficiency.
