Description

  • Develop and implement category strategies aligned with overall business objectives, including assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within assigned categories.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate terms and contracts, and ensure compliance with pricing and promotional agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, operations, and finance teams to achieve category objectives and drive business results.
  • Analyze sales performance, inventory levels, and product performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to stay informed of market dynamics and identify emerging opportunities.
  • Lead product lifecycle management initiatives, including new product introductions, discontinuations, and SKU rationalization.
  • Drive continuous improvement in category performance through data-driven insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Provide regular reporting and presentations to senior management on category performance, initiatives, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and incorporate innovative approaches to category management to maintain competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 3 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or related roles with a focus on Ecommerce
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful category strategies that drive business results.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and retail analytics platforms.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans and initiatives.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Passion for consumer products and understanding of consumer preferences and behavior.
