What are the responsibilities and job description for the Keeping Families Together Project Coordinator position at Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency?
The primary purpose of this position is to facilitate connections to resources that support and promote long-term family stability, enabling parents to safely parent at home and families to thrive together in their communities. The Keeping Families Together (KFT) Project Coordinator brings together the Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS); Child Welfare (CW)/Self-Sufficiency Programs (SSP), Housing, and health systems (KFT Core Team) to provide permanent, affordable, supportive housing with holistic, trauma-informed services to help CW-involved families who are experiencing homelessness, or severe housing instability, thrive.
The position is renewable annually based on continuation of project funding. Coordinator will directly support the integration of Keeping Families Together (KFT) and the Fresh Start Program, a collaboration project between the ARCHES Project and the Department of Human Services Child Welfare.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required of this position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or
- Two years of experience with either:
- Program implementation, including planning and executing the launch of new programs or systems, ensuring they meet organizational goals and user needs with cross-functional collaboration. OR
- Project management, including planning, tracking, executing and overseeing project scope, timelines and goals, as well as ensuring communication and collaboration amongst team members and stakeholders.
- Experience with and/or knowledge of Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) programs, homeless services, and family programs is preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Driver qualifications are required for this position. Valid driver license, insured vehicle available for use on the job, and a satisfactory drive record for the previous three years are required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops keen understanding of the KFT model of leveraging Supportive Housing to address disparities in child welfare and housing. Thoroughly understands program design components developed by the KFT Core Team.
- Collaborates with community partners and stakeholders to design and implement innovative ways of partnering across systems that results in delivery of quality supportive housing to families.
- Ensures established processes and procedures between community partners are documented for future use.
- Organizes and plans for monthly meetings with the Lived Experience Advisory Group (AG) to de-brief and plan for Core Team meetings as well as contribute to overall implementation.
- Engages community stakeholders collaboratively to determine the best path forward to implement KFT. Oversees ongoing coordination and collaboration of activities between partner organizations:
- Facilitates the monthly KFT Core Team meetings in an equitable way, giving all members opportunities to participate and make collaborative decisions.
- Creates a flexible work plan for monthly meetings and ensures concrete outcomes for the Core Team based on group progress.
- Focuses on equity throughout the process, including responding to specific requests in the KFT process and project such as: addressing disparities (data-informed), and creating equitable access for historically underserved populations, communities of color and other disproportionately impacted populations (e.g., LGBTQ , people with disabilities, etc.) in the child welfare and housing systems.
- Works in partnership with the KFT Core Team, MWVCAA/Fresh Start & ODHS-CW Program Leadership & Staff to:
- Support the implementation of KFT housing units.
- Continuously evaluate project scope, progress, and outcomes to ensure results meet the intended goals and objectives.
- Promote quality supportive housing and related activities using data-informed decision making, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).

- Close quarters, often with a client population experiencing homelessness, substance use disorders, and/or severe and persistent mental illness, and/or unpredictable behavior.
- Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands.
- Working with clients over the phone and in-person.
- Frequent driving throughout Marion and Polk County in all weather conditions.
