Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead the finance team while implementing effective financial policies and procedures to support the company's growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the accounting department, including accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and SOX regulations.
- Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the implementation and utilization of financial software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to double entry bookkeeping principles and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide insights on financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Lead the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within a corporate finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting processes, and financial management practices.
- Proficiency in financial software applications and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail in financial analysis.
- Familiarity with IFRS standards and SOX compliance requirements.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 45 – 60 per week
