Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical and surgical settings and possess a strong passion for providing high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical units
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with patient assessments and collaborate on care plans
- Perform procedures such as catheter care and injections
- Implement infection control measures to ensure a safe environment
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia and developmental disabilities
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication
Experience
- Previous experience in a nursing home or medical/surgical setting preferred
- Proficiency in administering injections and medication management
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) usage
- Experience in providing aliment, catheter care, and dementia care
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities
