Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive services, ensuring that their needs are met with professionalism and expertise. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge and service management skills to provide accurate information about vehicle maintenance, repairs, and service options.
Duties
- Greet customers and assess their automotive service needs.
- Provide detailed explanations of services required, including oil changes, tire service, alignments, and suspension work.
- Collaborate with service technicians to communicate customer concerns and ensure accurate diagnosis of vehicle issues.
- Schedule appointments for vehicle maintenance and repairs while managing the workflow in the service department.
- Maintain records of services performed and follow up on customer inquiries regarding their vehicles.
- Stay informed about dealership promotions, new products, and services to effectively advise customers.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing any concerns or complaints promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or in a similar role within a dealership environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
- A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and building lasting relationships with clients.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications are advantageous.
