Description :

We are looking for a veterinary technician / assistant to support our doctors in providing high quality medicine and education to our clients.

Responsibilities

Collecting History about your patient
Collecting weight, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Educating clients on preventative care and nutrition
Restraint
Drawing up vaccines
Setting up lab samples
Running in house lab work
Venipuncture
IV Catheter Placement
Provide necessary treatments for hospitalized pets
Filling medication
Administer medication
Monitor Anesthesia
Recover pets after surgery
Dentistry
Assist with emergencies
Administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, checking a client out, follow up calls, and creating treatment plans.
Keep accurate patient records
Soothe upset or frightened animals
Providing support to upset clients

Skills

Experience as veterinary assistant or similar position

Experience in an administrative role is a plus

Excellent communication skills

Patient and caring personality

Ability to follow instructions

Multi-tasking

Organization

Customer Service

Attention to detail

Efficiency

Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. lift up to 40 lbs)

High school diploma; a certificate from a Veterinary Assistant program is a plus

Certified / Licensed Veterinary Technician extra Job Duties

Training new team members and being responsible for their training passport and check-ins

Auditing, reporting, and recording controlled drugs

Checking all travel sheets to make sure notes and TPR are entered. As well as follow ups scheduled as needed.

Making sure the team is following through with Implementation of new programs, policies, and procedures.
