Responsibilities : Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Director, the MLT / MT is responsible for providing efficient and accurate analysis of specimens processed in the clinical laboratory to provide quality patient care services.Minimum Education : Associates Degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited college.Required Licenses / Certifications : MT / MLT preferred ASCP / AMT / AAB registered, experience preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities : Knowledge and skills to perform procedures in Blood Bank, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology / Serology, Urinalysis, and Limited Microbiology.Work Schedule : PRN , must be able to work alone, phlebotomy is a must. The position will also be responsible for maintenance and quality control.This department provides coverage 24 hours / day, 7 days / week including weekends and holidays. Generally scheduled 8-12 hour shifts. Schedules and work shifts may be changed with respect to patient procedure demands.
