This position is eligible for the Community Banking Annual Incentive Plan.
JOB SUMMARY
Assist with the management and supervision of the sales, service and operational activities. This includes attracting new customers, servicing existing ones, and providing leadership to branch staff to achieve financial goals.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Team Management:
- Oversee the branch and team, while providing feedback and encouraging growth and engagement from all staff.
- Manage Employee performance issues fairly and promptly, while adhering to employment policies.
- Determine staffing needs; recruit, hire, and onboard new hires.
- Establish clear goals that tie to the vision and mission of the business.
- Document and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Participate in leadership training opportunities.
2. Sales Development and Service
- Perform calling activities; including but not limited to internal customer calls and external calling efforts, promoting bank and non-bank products and services.
- Perform all teller functions, which may include balancing teller drawers, vault and ATM.
- Open new Deposit accounts as well as service and maintain consumer, business, HSA, and IRA accounts.
- Guide the consumer loan process from conversation to application, including obtaining and evaluating financial statements, review credit information and process the closing with the customer.
- Maintain knowledge of all bank regulations and compliance requirements for the role of personal banker. This includes completing all required training assigned and attending off site training as needed.
- Build relationships with centers of influence while balancing community involvement with banking needs and return.
3. Operations
- Assist in overseeing branch facilities and budget as assigned by management.
- Ensure bank and branch security procedures are implemented and followed.
- Assist with branch tasks as assigned by management.
4. Community Involvement and Networking
- Engage with the community in a way that supports business goals.
- Develop relationships with local professionals and businesses.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: 2 year college/tech degree or equivalent financial services experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience-
- Required: 2 years of experience in banking or financial experience
- Preferred: 3 years of experience in banking or financial services with experience in managing others preferred
