Job Description
This position will involve performing field inspections of residential and commercial construction projects as part of the municipal building permit process. Professional and courteous interaction will be necessary with contractors, property owners, design professionals and municipal officials. This position requires the ability to work independently, scheduling inspections and completing related paperwork while providing courteous interaction with our municipal partners.
MDIA will train a strong candidate while they get their certifications within a reasonable time frame. The first certification will need to be taken and passed within 60 days of hiring, if the employee does not have any certifications. Additional certifications, as determined by management, will be required thereafter at 90-day intervals.
We have immediate opening for inspectors of all disciplines.

Once hired, expenses incurred for acquiring additional certifications are reimbursed once the certification is successfully attained.
Starting salary is based on the successful candidate’s current certifications and experience.
A strong background in the construction industry, and being a master plumber or electrician is a definite plus.
Applicant must have a driver’s license and clean driving record within the last 7 years.
