Position Title: HST (11A – 11P)

Description of Duties:
Shift Needs: (11 am – 11 pm).
The individual in this role will serve as the paraprofessional in the crisis stabilization unit. The focus of this program is to provide inpatient, crisis services that support individuals experiencing a mental health and/or substance abuse crisis. The CSU is utilized for individuals undergoing an acute crisis that presents a substantial risk of imminent harm to self or others. The goal is to stabilize the individual through nursing and behavioral supports on a time-limited basis. The role of the paraprofessional is to conduct continuous monitoring of individuals on the unit for safety and behavior, obtain vital signs and reporting to nursing staff as necessary, provide meals and snacks for individuals served and conduct holistic groups within scope of education level during a 12 hour work period.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Valid unrestricted Georgia Driver’s License, current AHA CPR and First Aid Certification. Must be computer literate. Must be able to read and write.
Preferred Qualifications: 2 years’ experience in behavioral health field
