Job Summary
This position will be responsible for recruiting and leading international students through the admission and enrollment process at Middle Georgia State University in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The international recruiter will be responsible for managing a recruitment territory to support the University's enrollment plan. This position will specialize in international student recruitment but will provide assistance to the recruitment strategies at large.
Responsibilities
Territory Management (50%) -
Plans, schedules, and manages recruitment events and activities locally and internationally.
Travels to recruitment events to provide information to guidance counselors, parents, high school students, and non-traditional students.
Analyzes data to determine primary, secondary and tertiary schools for recruitment purposes, overall and within recruitment territory.
Contribute to the development of an international student recruitment strategy.
Provides "case management" approach leading prospective students through the admission and enrollment process which includes a variety of communication strategies.
Assists with University open house, preview days, and other enrollment events.
Administrative Duties (50%) -
Maintains records of events and contacts.
Review and evaluate international applicants.
Issue I 20 drafts.
Provide reports and communication to external recruiters.
Assists with the operation of the student information and correspondence system.
Assists with the development of promotional literature.
Attends professional meetings and training workshops.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
Other Required Qualifications
Ability to travel internationally.
Possess a valid passport.
Willing to work some evenings and weekends.

Related experience in admissions, international recruitment, or other higher education activities.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of Middle Georgia State University admissions requirements, academic programs, schools and departments and related degree requirements.
Knowledge of student financial aid principles.
Knowledge of college recruitment rules, regulations, policies and standards.
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.

Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Able to convey enthusiasm, energy and poise.
