The position of Medical Operations Coordinator is responsible for
- Direct, supervise and evaluate administrative work activities of medical, nursing and other personnel
- Establish objectives and evaluative operational criteria for medical department.
- Direct,conduct and monitor administrative training for medical personnel.
- Monitor and review EHR for quality measures and ensure documentation completed and compliant with all polices and procedures of governing entities.
- Run daily and weekly reports to monitor productivity and daily service recordings.
- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the facility and medical unit.
- Assisting with planning budgets, authorizing expenditures, and coordinating financial reporting.
- Establish work schedules and assignments for staff, according to workload, space and equipment availability.
- Maintain communication between medical staff, and departments by attending meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning.
- Ensure effective use of resources and assess the need for additional staff, equipment, and services.
- Maintain awareness of changes in medical program, government regulations, health insurance changes, and financing options, licensing regulations, coding services.
- Manage change in integrated health care delivery systems, such as restructuring, technological innovations, and shifts the focus of care.
- Participates at in-service training/staff development activities.
- Performs other related work as required.
Master's in Behavioral Health Field, public behavioral health administration, or related field OR RN with experience in Behavioral Health and 6 to 9 years of professional clinical training and experience, including experience in an administrative and supervisory capacity;or any equivalent combination of training and experience in which provides the required knowledge ,skills and abilities.
Must possess valid Virginia Driver's License; CPR/First Aid Certifications, Medication Administration Certification, TOVA. Must be certified tuberculosis free 30 days from hire and annually.
