You will work closely with department leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and build a pipeline of qualified candidates. Your efforts will directly impact the continued success and growth of our company.
This position will be full-time, in person, located in either the Vienna, VA office or the Charlotte, NC office and will report directly to the VP, People & Culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sourcing & Recruiting:
- Actively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and industry-specific platforms for various roles
- Screen resumes, conduct phone and in-person interviews, assess candidate qualifications, and present top candidates to hiring managers
- Schedule and coordinate interviews as needed
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements, create job postings, and develop a recruitment strategy tailored to the specific needs of each department
- Build and maintain a talent pool for current and future hiring needs by proactively engagement with industry groups, professionals and passive candidates
- Identify, coordinate, and manage attendance at college career fairs
- Coordinate and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting jobs to extending job offers and assisting with onboarding
- Provide exceptional candidate experience through clear communication, timely updates, and a smooth interview process
- Stay current on industry trends, salary benchmarks to better attract and retain top talent
- Promote Middleburg as an employer of choice within the multifamily housing industry, showcasing our culture, values, and commitment to excellence
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment, preferably in the construction, real estate development, or multifamily housing industries
- Understanding of construction and real estate development roles and skills
- Strong sourcing and interviewing skills, including experience with social media recruitment (Linkedin, Indeed, Glassdoor, industry boards, etc.)
- Experience with UKG HRIS/ATS system, preferred
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both active and passive candidates
- Proactively build great working relationships with employees and managers at all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requisitions simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification, preferred
