Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a HR Recruitment and Development Coordinator located in Middlebury, VT and support HR functions by managing the recruitment process and working with the HR Manager in developing staff/employee development opportunities. Additionally, they work closely with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, post job openings, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and support the onboarding process. This role focuses on recruitment and staff development to help attract and retain talent by creating a positive employee experience that contributes to organizational success.
DEPARTMENT OPERATIONS
- Support all aspects of HR department.
- Maintain updated and accurate records and ensure HRIS integration: store schedule, parking plan, emergency contact information, phone list, newsletter contact list, etc.
- Support our hiring, recruiting and onboarding processes.
Develop unique recruitment strategies with the HR Manager.
Create attractive job posting and advertisements, conduct phone screening, and coordinates onboarding and orientation programs.
Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains current records.
Coordinate new hire orientation with HR Assistant and Managers.
Attending community events as needed: job Fairs, mixers, etc.
Periodic travel to relevant HR conferences and other HR events.
- Supports employee recognition efforts.
Work anniversaries, promotion announcements, retirements, etc.
- Communicating pertinent information to all staff
Preparing and delivering newsletters, memos, signage.
Updating Employee Portal.
- Maintain DEI awareness initiatives to foster a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to contribute to learning and development programs.
Maintain, facilitate, and update Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Works closely with the HR Manager to develop and track the annual training calendar.
Reaches out to third-party training facilitators.
Works with department managers to schedule mandatory and voluntary training.
Tracks staff completion of required training
- Assist with Exit and Stay interviews.
Schedule, plan and facilitate exit/stay interviews and update the tracking spreadsheet.
Conducts the exit/stay interview as needed.
- Assists with employee relations concerns as needed.
Help execute internal investigations.
Sit in during delivery of Acknowledgement of Performance Concern (APC) form.
Take notes/transcribe sensitive meetings with staff.
Act as an employee advocate.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all sensitive and privileged information.
