NEW OPENING! Current hours for this position : 5AM -12AM, Tuesday to Friday, plus filling in (when able) on other shifts.
Attendants provide provide general care for animals at the shelter, cleaning cages/kennels, then watering, feeding, treating wounds and administering medication. Sometimes doing laundry (dog towels and bedding) and running dishwasher/washing dishes. Attendants have some interaction with the public.
The purpose of our shelter is to give lost, confiscated or abandoned dogs a soft landing until they find a home; sometimes this is painful, as they don't come to us in good condition.
Our dogs still need to be fed and tended, even on weekends and holidays. the dogs need someone they trust to take care of them, as it gives them some comfort in a stressful shelter. Please don't apply if you cannot commit to this effort.
