Role Highlights
Department: Outpatient Physical Therapy
Hours: 40 hours/week
Shift: Days, 1st Shift
Location: Split duties between Middletown, CT and Essex, CT
Sign-on Bonus: Up to $10,000
Position Summary:
The Outpatient Physical Therapist administers physical therapy services under medical prescription. They are responsible for clinical oversight of PTA and ensure patient safety, educational, psychological and developmental needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a plan of care for each patient with their input and agreement.
Interpret and assess data about the patient and explain treatment goals, plans, techniques and outcomes to patients and families.
Recommend therapeutic procedures and modalities.
Document professional and departmental standards.
Address home exercise programs with patients.
Maintain an adequate caseload, adhering to productivity standards.
Attend continuing education seminars and present educational programs to Rehab staff or other medical professionals.
Communicate regularly with Rehabilitation Supervisor, team members and referring physicians for patient care.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Physical Therapy.
Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in the State of Connecticut.
