Responsibilities and Duties:
- Delivers paper goods, supplies, government commodities, purchasedfood items and other items as required district-wide on an as needed and assigned basis.
- On a schedule determined by the Manager, picks up cash deposits from cafeteria managers district-wide and deposits at a bank.
- Returns empty cash bags to cafeteria managers district-wide.
- Ensures deposit slips are returned to the Food Services Office on the day of deposit.
- On a schedule determined by the Manager, delivers district-wide and returns to the Café Services Office all Café Services paperwork, folders, time cards, etc.
- Makes district-wide interdepartmental mail deliveries including curriculum material distribution.
- May be assigned to work as a Café Worker on an as-needed basis to address absences.
- Makes bank deposits for all schools as needed.
- Makes deliveries of nursing/medical supplies to all district-wide schools plus the three parochial schools as needed.
- Deliver items mis-delivered by commercial carriers or other suppliers to the proper schools originally intended
- Performs other related functions as assigned or required.
- Responsible for the fueling of the vehicle at City Yard
- Alert Manager and Master Mechanic of necessary repairs and services needed
- Complete all assigned professional development trainings as assigned
- Makes bank deposits for all schools as needed.
- Makes deliveries of nursing/medical supplies to all district-wide schools plus the three parochial schools as needed.
- Deliver items mis-delivered by commercial carriers or other suppliers to the proper schools originally intended.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid CT Drivers License, Ability and comfort with operating a large commercial cargo truck or van with limited visibility; reverse motion limited to use of side mirrors only;
- Experience operating a commercial non-CDL medium-duty refrigerated truck and/or full size cargo van preferred;
- Applicable knowledge and ability to adhere to all State of CT traffic and safety road regulations;
- Ability to adhere to the operation of the vehicle and its components as required by the policies and expectations set forth by the rental/lease agreement;
- Able to complete a transport log;
- Ability to lift multiple objects of 50 pounds for a minimum or 4-6 hours daily;
- Ability to meet the restraints of a time schedule;
- Able to commit their attendance daily throughout the duration of the summer program as assigned;
- Ability to tolerate hot temperatures/weather conditions while performing all required duties.
Salary: $25.00 Per Hour
