What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant Training Opportunity position at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare?
Are you excited to begin your nursing journey? We are pleased to announce multiple Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training programs happening in 2025. You will be hired as a Unit Aide (Temp) during your training, where you will support CNAs and assist with non-ADL functions. Space is very limited with fewer than 10 students accepted per class for this UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A UNIT AIDE (TEMP) :
Engage positively with residents and supervise common areas as needed.
Prepare residents' rooms prior to their arrival (e.g., making beds, labeling tags, preparing admission kits).
Welcome and comfortably introduce residents to their rooms, roommates, and staff.
Assist residents in organizing their personal belongings.
Help residents transition during transfers or discharges.
Transport residents to new rooms or designated areas as necessary.
Make and refresh beds, adding extra covers upon request.
Prepare residents for activities and social events.
Facilitate transportation throughout the facility, including dining areas.
Assist residents during meal times with basic hygiene, beverage distribution, and meal access.
Support activity staff with transporting residents to programs.
Supervise resident activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Promptly respond to resident calls and requests for assistance.
Acquire necessary supplies for the unit.
Requirements :
No prior experience necessary; however, experience as a TNA (Temporary Nurse Aide), PCA (Personal Care Aide), HHA (Home Health Aide), or DSP (Direct Support Professional) is advantageous.
