- Full-Time; Must Be Flexible With Hours during the Week
- 3 - 4 weekdays (Monday - Friday) 8am - 4pm/9am-5pm/ or 10am - 6pm & every other weekend 7am - 3pm
- Weekend Shifts will be CNA Assignments

- The role of the Transport Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant is to accompany residents on out-trips/appointments as directed, via wheelchair, geriatric chair, etc.
- When not accompanying residents to appointments accept CNA assignments or assist on the units.
- Accompany residents to outside clinic appointments via Ambulette service which may be scheduled on weekends and holidays.
- Transport residents to areas throughout the building as needed.
- Accompany Recreation staff in company van during outings.
- The Transport Aide/CNA will also assist doing with monitoring diversional programs on the units/great rooms.
- Assist in the transport of residents to therapy, Beauty Shop, dining rooms, recreation programs and clinics
- Deliver supplies to the Nursing Units when needed
- Perform all duties as a Certified Nursing Assistant when required
- Monitor great rooms for safety and fall prevention
Requirements
- Holds CNA Certification in New York State that is current & in good standing
- Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, & sometimes challenging residents
- Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
- Must demonstrate a sense of responsibility
- Must have the ability to anticipate needs of the geriatric resident
- Must be pleasant, cheerful, tactful and courteous when handling residents and/or relatives.
- Must be able to remain calm in emergencies
- Must represent the facility in a positive fashion at all times.
- Must have an exemplary time and attendance record.
- Trusted to work independently & in a team environment
- Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
