Job Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified Special Education Resource Teacher to join our team at Middletown Unified.
This critical role involves creating individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities, providing direct instruction and support, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and support staff to create personalized learning plans for students with disabilities.
- Provide Targeted Instruction: Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students in various educational settings.
- Cultivate Inclusive Learning Environments: Design and maintain flexible and engaging learning spaces that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Work with Colleagues: Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student support and inclusion.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field.
- California Teaching Credential authorizing service in special education (Education Specialist Credential or equivalent) with ELD or CLAD authorization.
- RST or equivalent preferred.
