At Midland Mortgage, we are seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join our team to assist in managing the risks and overseeing all aspects of the property damage repair process from an administrative standpoint. When a property with a mortgage loan is damaged, it is the responsibility of the bank to ensure the borrower takes appropriate action to restore the property to value. The Servicing Associate is responsible for processing files related to property damage repair claims, communicating with mortgagors, insurance companies, contractors, and resolving issues associated with the claim process.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the borrower through the difficult time of property loss while demonstrating compassion and empathy.
- Review and analyze insurance claims and documentation to prepare the payout request while ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with the borrower, insurance companies, adjustors and contractors to gather the necessary information and resolve any claim related issues
- Effectively communicate resolutions that are in the best interest of the borrower while mitigating risk to Midland Mortgage as it pertains to claim payouts considering policy restrictions and regulatory requirements
- A professional demeanor and clear, precise communication skills are required for speaking with borrowers, contractors, insurance carriers, and other interested parties.
Position Requirements:
- Proven experience in administrative coordination, preferably in the property damage repair or insurance industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Critical thinking skills with the ability to identify potential risks and determine appropriate next steps based on desired outcome for the borrower and Midland
- Ability to adapt to a workload that can fluctuate with little notice.
- Being able to multi-task, stay organized, and use time efficiently is critical to meeting performance goals and deadlines.
- Ability to toggle between multiple computer applications at once
