What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mail Operations Associate position at MidFirst Bank?
Primarily responsible for a variety of duties related to opening, identifying, sorting and distributing mail in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines. Also responsible for handling service requests in addition to general support functions.
Job duties include the following:
- Sort, process and identify incoming mail and complete the necessary steps based on the requirements for each area. Must count and report mail accurately and meet timeliness and quality objectives.
- Process returned mail including return receipt cards. Ensure that any checks are removed and routed appropriately and prepped for imaging and storage.
- Deliver and pick up mail as scheduled each day to and from designated departments, offices and employees and obtain signatures as required.
- Greet employees and vendors and assist them with their needs including stamp sales and processing vending refunds. Place service requests for equipment, vending, coffee and plants timely and follow them through completion.
- Provide support to department managers and complete special tasks and projects as assigned including updating procedures.
- Cross train and remain current on the various functions within Mail Operations to help cover absences and assist as needed.
Position Requirements
- Able to multi-task and change priorities quickly as well keeping up with a wide range of job duties
- Ability to work under general supervision with good use of initiative and independent judgment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor
- Proficiency in MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
- A minimum of 1 year of office related experience is preferred
Working Conditions
- Lifting and carrying full mail trays and pushing and pulling mail carts
- Must be able to work standing some of the time with some bending and stooping
Education
Required- High School or better
