What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at MidiCi Italian Kitchen?
Host /Expo/Takeout (Fridays and Saturday nights, and holidays)
Provide prompt, efficient, courteous service to all guests. Service includes greeting, seating, taking and serving orders, clearing dishes and resetting tables. Must be able to multitask.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain professional functional working relationships with Team Members and guests.
- Manage "To Go" orders as needed by answering phone, utilizing third party delivery platform tablets such as Doordash, Ubereats, Chownow, Slice, and entering orders into POS and coordinating accurate pickup of orders.
- Help Manage Open Table Reservations system to identify table selection and layout for guest reservations.
- Execute per Midici SOP to ensure a high-quality guest experience.
- Handle guest complaints in a timely manner, inquire about the quality of the dining experience, thank guests and invite them to return.
- Communicate guest food orders and service requests in an accurate and timely manner.
- Memorize and apply Midici terminology, abbreviations, methodologies and plating and menu knowledge.
- Comply with SOP methods in regard to guest checks and maintaining cash control.
- Stock and rotate all needed supplies in the service areas and dining room.
- Comply with all federal, state and local regulations as well as all health, sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Help clear, clean and reset tables, chairs,and floors after guests leave.
- Perform all cleaning duties according to Midici guidelines
- Comply with Midici uniform and appearance standards per SOP guidelines.
- Perform other assignments or tasks as assigned by the General Manager, Assistance Manager or acting Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The responsibilities and duties listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
