What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Manager position at Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC?
- Very large and successful company has an excellent opportunity available in the Kansas City, KS vicinity for a Tooling Manager. Responsibilities: To provide guidance to the Tooling Group team members.
- Monitor mold repair and rebuild intervals.
- Submit and approve capital expenses for the Tool Room and mold repairs.
- Monitor efficiency reports and determine areas that require special attention.
- Coordinate with all support groups i.e. Maintenance, Scheduling, Injection Molding, Printing, Thermoform, and etc.
- Keep staff informed on pertinent activities and information.
- To assist other departments at other facilities as needed.
- To oversee policies to ensure safety and efficiency.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent.
- Preference given to candidates with advanced degrees or certificates
- Prior experience in mold making, industrial tool maintenance, or injection molding.
- Ability to read technical drawings and prints.
- Must have good communications skills, written and verbal.
- Must know how to use basic measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Previous experience with lathes, mills, grinders, etc. is not essential, but preferred.
- Knowledge of injection mold components, terminology, and their relationships to each other.
This position offers a very competitive base salary, bonus potential & comprehensive benefits.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
