What are the responsibilities and job description for the Calibrations Specialist position at Midland Tool & Supply?
This position is a true hybrid position between calibrations and sales. We are offering a great base salary and commission on every calibration.
Superior Tool Rental & Repair has been servicing its customers since 1995 with the most recognized service and supplies in the industry. Superior’s customers range from some of the world’s largest contractors, industrial plants and factories, to local mechanical, electrical and steel erection.
The Calibration Technician Position:
This position will require someone with a strong aptitude for sales and is mechanically inclined. Superior expects this individual to perform preventative maintenance, bolting and calibrations on customer tooling, as needed. This includes following up with customers, keeping customers up-to-date on repair work, scheduling visits, cold calls and generating new clientele. The Calibration Technician will support the Superior team by having excellent communication and perform quality work to ensure customer satisfaction. Successful support staff will have an upbeat attitude and provide innovative solutions to meet the need of Superiors growing customer base.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Discuss financial options with client
- Present solutions to customers
- Grow existing customers
- Generate contacts and leads
- Conduct cold calls to potential customers
- Research new customers
- Repair all customer tools to manufacturer's standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools
- Conduct an analysis on equipment
- Repair hydraulic pumps
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Experience and Skills:
- 2-4 years of mechanical/tool experience and Customer Service
- Ability to problem solve and proven organizational skills
- Proven computer proficiency to include: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to stand for short periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
