Job Responsibilities
The Information Center Specialist serves as a key point of contact for prospective and current students, faculty, staff, and visitors seeking assistance with a wide range of college- related inquires. This role is critical in providing clear, accurate, and professional guidance on topics such as enrollment processes, assessment testing, course requirements, advisement, registrations, and both credit and non-credit college services. The position requires and individual with exceptional customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to resolve issues efficiently while adhering to college policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities : Customer Service & Support : Serve as the primary contact for all individuals reaching out to the Information Center via phone, email, in-person visits, and live chat. Provide accurate, clear, and timely information regarding enrollment, academic advising, course registration, assessment testing, and other student services. Demonstrate exceptional customer service by actively listening to and addressing inquiries, and resolving concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
Assist prospective and current students with navigating college services, answering questions, and providing guidance on next steps in their academic journey.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant customer service experience or experience in high education; or an associate’s degree and three years of relevant customer service experience or experience in higher education; or a high school diploma and five years of relevant customer service experience or experience in high education.
