Under the direction of the CEO & Controller, this person will be in a key role for the company and will be responsible for overseeing all of the day-to-day asset management for properties owned by Midloch.
Midloch Investment Partners ("Midloch") is a boutique real estate private equity investment fund manager. Midloch focuses on value-add acquisitions (properties valued between $5 Million and $50 Million) throughout the United States. Position Description:
- Oversee and hold various property management or operating partners accountable for implementing the business plan
- Oversee the internal Asset Management team and coordinate with internal accounting and analyst teams
- Review and analyze monthly property financials (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Aged Receivable Report, Rent Roll, bank statements, etc.). This includes ongoing monitoring of loan covenants, insurance, property expenses, and any other property initiatives.
- Visit portfolio properties to ensure the successful implementation of the business plan
- Perform market research in markets and submarkets in which Midloch has existing assets.
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual communication to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 10 years experience in accounting/finance, asset management, or property management
- Real Estate industry experience preferred
- Accuracy and timeliness in the completion of the workload are required in this position
- The ability to manage multiple priorities at once, to shift directions multiple times throughout the day, creative problem solving and a high sense of urgency are critical to success
- Additional duties as assigned by management
- Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel and other computer software
- Ability to read a balance sheet, income statement, and excel based real estate models
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while delivering accurate and quality work
- Ability to thrive in a startup environment, wearing multiple hats, and growing the company
- Desire to think critically and creatively
- Ability to travel frequently and independently
