Director

Job Summary
Midlothian Kids Academy at Parham, a new Preschool located in Henrico, VA, is seeking a Director. Our program servers from birth through the age of 12. We are seeking an experienced, creative, passionate, and flexible individual to lead, support, manage and guide our growing school.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Oversee operations to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and regulations
• Build strong relationships with families and staff
• Recruits, hires, counsels, trains and manages all personnel
• Maintain and manage enrollment
• Program quality
• Creates and manages budget
• Provides excellent customer service with all internal and external customers

CANDIDATE MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• A strong commitment to early education
• Top notch customer service skills
• An upbeat and positive attitude and work ethic in a fast-paced environment
• Expert computer skills including but not limited to: Microsoft Products and Child Management Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly effective organizational, time management and multitasking skills
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule between the hours of 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A genuine love for children and an ability to relate well with them, their families, and teachers.
• Master's degree in early or elementary education, child development, or other child related field with young children in a group setting. OR bachelor's degree in early or elementary education, child development, or other child related field with a minimum of five years of experience teaching young children in a group setting.
• Supervisory experience in an early educational, elementary or recreational setting.
• Demonstrated team building accomplishments bringing a group together for common goals.
• Previous experience in a NAEYC OR COGNIA accredited program preferred.
• CPR and 1st Aid certified or obtain certification upon hire.
• MAT certified or obtain certification upon hire
• Food Service Manager certification or obtain certification upon hire
• Familiar with STREMIN3 curriculum, TADPOLE, and PROCARE a plus

Pay: $40,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year
