Summary : We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team. This position is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in pharmacy. After completing the training period, the Pharmacy Technician will be skilled in processing orders, compounding IVs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional support to pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities :
- 20%) Generate reports, manage medication inventory, ensure Automated Dispensing Machines are stocked, resolve narcotic discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and provide training and assistance to nursing staff regarding medication dispensing.
- 20%) Compound IV and piggyback medications following aseptic techniques and ensuring all USP 797 guidelines are adhered to.
- 15%) Print accurate medication labels in a timely manner using computer software.
- 15%) Manage the filling, reconciliation, and exchange of 24-hour unit dose medicine carts utilizing McKesson robot and Cerner.
- 15%) Correctly repackage non-unit dose medications using PacMed and McKesson repackager systems.
- 15%) Replace and fill floor stock, including EMS boxes, crash cart trays, open heart medications, and Omnicell Anesthesia carts, ensuring delivery to appropriate areas; conduct monthly floor stock audits for other hospital departments; stock unit dose areas and IV room as required.
Certifications and Licensures :
Required Education : A High School Diploma or GED is required.
