This role provides ongoing monitoring support to assure compliance 340(b) program for all MyMichigan Health covered entities, child sites and contracted pharmacies. Applications utilized include but are not limited to: EPIC, Sentry, Lawson, and Microsoft Office.
Responsibilities
(40% )* Performs ongoing monitoring activity as defined in policy to insure 340(b) program integrity and compliance. Includes hospital administered drug, meds to beds prescriptions, employee prescriptions and contracted pharmacy relationships.
(20%)* Maintains auditable documentation of all monitoring activity and the resolution of any discrepancies and issues.
(20%)* Works with pharmacy buyers, pharmacy informatics, pharmacy administration, information technology services, and third-party administrators on the resolution of discrepancies and issues. Notifies pharmacy administration of all unresolved / open discrepancies.
(20%)* Maintains external audit readiness. Participates as a resource in audits from MyMichigan Health Internal Audit department, contracted external audits, pharmaceutical manufacturers, HRSA/OPA.

Required Education
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Equivalent Experience: Associates degree preferred.
Other Information
ALL OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides periodic reports of monitoring activity and issue resolution.
Trains all pharmacy staff (pharmacists, technicians, buyers) on the 340(b) specific applications at MyMichigan Health as required for their respective job functions. May include travel to MyMichigan Health locations.
Actively seeks information from HRSA / Apexus or other resources to stay current with program changes, regulations and new guidance.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS:
Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
It is preferred for all incumbents, new hires and transfers to this position to possess a pharmacy technician full license through the state of Michigan. Other skills and experience may be considered in lieu of pharmacy technician license.
Extensive working knowledge of pharmacy information systems, financial systems, inventory systems, dispensing applications / hardware, reporting tools, office applications. Knowledge of auditing systems preferred.
Mathematical skills needed to complete simple calculations as required by the position.
Interpersonal skills needed to communicate successfully with individuals and groups and interact with people at all levels to communicate ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
This position must show knowledge, skill, and ability, in treating patients who range in age from birth to 100 years.
Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required.

Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake.
