Veterinary Technician

Midnight Sun Animal Hospital Emergency Care is seeking Certified/Licensed Veterinary Technicians to join our busy full service, emergency animal hospital located in Anchorage, Alaska. Our caseload varies from routine small animal wellness to critical emergent cases. Our surgery department includes not only routine surgery cases, but soft tissue and orthopedic. We include endoscopy, laser therapy, PennHip diagnostics and laparoscopic spays and surgery to our practice.

The candidate we are seeking should be professional, willing to work as part of our extraordinary team and enjoy client education. LVT/Certified or at least 2 yrs experience required. MSAH has high standards of patient care and practice high quality medicine, holding our technicians to the same standard. Applicants must exhibit maturity, the ability to be a team player, be efficient, and have strong customer relations’ skills. Duties include strong communication skills, a commitment to client education, knowledge of proper restraint techniques, radiographs, vaccines, blood draws, the ability to run lab work (including urinalysis slides, fecals, and ear cytology's), injections, bandaging, assisting in surgeries, and other tasks as assigned. Applicant MUST have flexibility in scheduling, as the practice is open 7 days a week with 3 days a week overnights.
