Job Summary :
- As an Engineer you will be part of the Design Engineering Team and your key responsibilities will be to design functional audiovisual and collaboration systems based on customer needs and requirements.
- As part of the Design Engineering Team, and a remote / hybrid employee, you will be asked to join our Sales Account Executives (AE) on customer calls for meetings to capture customers’ needs as a baseline for our design proposals.
- During these meetings you will be expected to complete a needs analysis and set customer expectations on design intent.
- You will be expected to generate a Bill of Materials (BOM) cost estimate using MidPoint’s Excel P&L workbook as well as a full Statement of Work (SOW) document to submit to the customer for review.
- Prior to submittal, you will be required to have a team peer review as well as review with the Sales AE for confirmation of final P&L cost estimation and SOW.
- To promote a collaborative team environment, you will be asked to provide peer design support as well as P&L and SOW reviews for other team members.
- You will be asked to participate in sales design hand-off to our Project Management, Production Engineering, Programming and Field Installation Teams in order to ensure that the original design intent and decisions are passed on to other teams in order to achieve a successful project installation and life cycle.
- When needed, you will be required to perform duties outside of your key responsibilities.
