Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Human Resource Generalist to join our People and Culture team. The Human Resources Generalist will assist in the daily functions of the department, providing vital support throughout the entire teammate life cycle, from recruitment to offboarding. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Recruitment: Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs, develop position descriptions, post job openings, screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process.
Onboarding: Facilitate new teammate orientations, complete necessary paperwork, and ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
Teammate Relations: Serve as a first point of contact for teammate inquiries, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, and maintain accurate teammate records.
Metrics and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics, and create presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to senior management.
Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process, conduct exit interviews, and provide feedback to improve teammate retention.

Skills/Abilities:
Required:
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS software, Paycom preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced skills in Excel, including complex functions, data analysis, pivot tables, and Power BI dashboards.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Human Resources certification preferred. (SHRM or HRCI)
- Up to 5% travel, as needed, for seminars and/or training.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
