**Job Description:**
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled GI Medical Assistant to join our team . As a GI Medical Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple locations, providing support to gastroenterologists in clinical settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with patient intake, preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and providing patient education.
**Responsibilities:**
- Assist gastroenterologists during procedures and examinations.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
- Collect and record patient medical history and vital signs.
- Provide patient education on procedures, medications, and post-procedure care.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Travel to various locations within Central Connecticut to support different clinics or medical facilities.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.
- Prior experience working in gastroenterology or a related field is advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to different work environments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
