What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Loan Officer position at Midstates Bank?
Job Purpose :
The role of the Commercial Loan Officer is to develop and administer an effective calling program along with managing commercial loan accounts that meet established lending requirements and provide maximum profitability to the bank at minimum risk. The calling program will target prospective customers in conjunction with the bank's strategic plans to gain market share. Additionally, the program will incorporate calls to existing customers to promote new or additional services with Midstates Bank. The Commercial Loan Officer will actively seek out opportunities to increase Midstates Bank's customer base, in accordance with the Bank's core values and service standards.

- Establish and maintain a visible presence in all market areas.
- Attend civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and represent the bank in a positive manner.
- Keep abreast of community trends and outside community innovations and best practices.
- Make business development calls to key accounts in the market area.

Skills and Qualifications :
Strong interpersonal skills, financial analysis skills, proven ability to develop and enhance client relationships, extensive knowledge of all bank deposit and loan products including SBA / FSA and other third-party offerings, strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products. Experience in Moody's Lending Cloud software is beneficial.
Education :
Four-year college degree preferably in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
Experience :
Minimum of 5 year of commercial lending experience. Bank experience preferred.
Accounting or bookkeeping experience in formation of financial statements and cashflows.
