Patient Interaction & Reception Duties
- Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Check patients in and out, verifying personal and insurance information.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient inquiries.
Appointment & Schedule Management
- Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.
- Manage and book appointments through online booking platforms.
- Review and optimize the daily schedule to maximize efficiency.
Communication & Patient Coordination
- Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to patient messages via voicemail, email, and text platforms.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions as needed.
Insurance & Financial Duties
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits before patient visits.
- Collect and process copays, outstanding balances, and payments.
- Submit and track insurance claims, following up on denials when necessary.
- Explain treatment costs and available payment options to patients.
Administrative & Office Support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing paperwork.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and office policies.
- Support the dental team with additional administrative tasks as needed.
