The position of Truck Driver has a diverse role that combines transportation and equipment upkeep. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements for this position:

Responsibilities:

• Follow instructions for the pickup, transportation (hauling and towing), of farm equipment safely to and from the dealership, farms, and other locations.
• Complete transportation for loads up to 20’ wide and 120’ long.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries including fuel usage and mileage.
• Assist with loading and unloading equipment, ensuring it is secured properly.
• Keep company trucks and equipment in excellent condition by performing ongoing maintenance and/or other minor repairs as needed during deliveries.
• Interact with customers during deliveries and pickups, providing excellent customer service.
• Perform light duty mechanical work in the shop as needed.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties assigned to the position.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL license with Medical Examiners Certificate and safe driving record.
• Proficiency in operating large trucks, trailers and oversized loads, as well as forklifts to move materials.
• Familiarity with equipment including attaching and detaching implements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in diesel mechanics or automotive repair is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy 75 pounds as required without assistance.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed.
• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Mechanic tool set appropriate for required work
