What You’ll Do:
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently in a large payroll system such as ADP, Paycor, Paylocity, UKG, or Paychex.
- Ensure proper payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other contributions.
- Reconcile payroll data to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
- Handle payroll adjustments, troubleshoot discrepancies, and issue corrections as needed.
- Process federal and state payroll tax filings and ensure full compliance with regulations.
- Proactively identify and resolve payroll-related issues.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4 years of hands-on payroll experience preferably with multi-state payroll, including the state of Texas. Experience in mechanical or construction industry payroll is a plus.
- Proficiency in payroll processing software (Paycor, ADP, UKG, Paychex, or similar systems required).
- Strong problem-solving skills—you know how to chase down issues and get them resolved.
- Experience with reconciliations and general accounting functions.
- Advanced Excel skills—able to manipulate and reconcile payroll data across systems.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in accounting or business preferred.
- 4 years of payroll experience with some exposure to accounting.
