Midway Rental, a fast-growing, elite general rental equipment company that operates in markets across the Northwest, is offering an entry level management position as a Rental Manager. We are searching for an ambitious, career-orientated individual, willing to travel occasionally, with desire to lead, organize, and grow. No experience in the industry? No problem, Midway Rental will provide constant on the job training.
As a Rental Manager you will play a key role in directing inside sales representatives, generating new revenue, servicing existing customers, identifying new customers, managing delivery schedules, and overseeing all daily front-counter activities. This role has the expectation of occasional travel to our locations throughout Montana to fill-in and prepare for the move into a Store Manager role when the opportunity arises.
Responsibilities and Key Work:
- Work with Store Manager to implement, train, and maintain counter and yard customer satisfaction goals
- Counter operation management
- Yard operations management
- Interview for staff, hire, train and develop
- Organize internal store fleet to meet customer needs and reservations
- Manage dispatch and delivery processes to meet customer demands
- Work with inside sales and yard staff to promote rentals and sales
- Monitor/ manage daily reservations and monthly billing
- Maximize merchandise sales
- Maximize rental revenue
- Travel to other locations to work as a substitute for Store Manager
- Manage end of day closing tasks
- Merchandise, organize, and maintain showroom, front counter
- Work with Store Manager managing A/R and A/P issues
Projects:
- Work closely with Store Manager and Regional Staff in preparation for future management role
- Occasional assigned tasks by regional staff that may require travel
- On the job training
