This role serves as a vital support function within the finance department, focusing on vendor invoice management and ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers by reconciling invoices with purchase orders.
Responsibilities
- Obtain supplier invoices, receive documents, and other relevant materials, review for accuracy, apply proper coding, and post to the accounting system.
- Prepare checks for printing.
- Process hand checks as needed.
- Address and resolve supplier accounts payable (A/P) inquiries.
- Collaborate with buyers to resolve cost discrepancies, maintaining a cost discrepancy log for tracking.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the finance lead.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred but not required.
- Experience with ERP software
- Entry-level position.
- Proficient in Word and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Analytical skills to assess data and make logical conclusions and recommendations.
