Facility Maintenance Technician
The Facility Maintenance Tech will be responsible for safely ,maintaining, repairing and modifying all processing, packaging and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. In addition, the incumbent possesses supervisory responsibility and functions.
Location : Lancaster, TX
Schedule : Monday-Friday 8AM-4 : 30PM
Pay rate : $22-$23
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Assist in planning repairs.
- Demonstrate 100% functionality in completing work orders and logging corrective maintenance issues.
- Perform minimal electrical repairs and troubleshoot AC & DC motor controls, solid-state motor controls, and test equipment.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the company's objectives, including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals. Daily work activities should align with achieving these goals.
- Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and follow a periodic preventive maintenance schedule.
- Model professional workplace conduct and adherence to company policies, including GMP compliance, attendance, efficiency, productivity, and hygiene.
- Provide support to Process Improvement (PI) projects and participate in safety teams.
- Serve as a resource for resolving mechanical issues.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Learn and apply mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and emergency repair skills.
- Identify and repair problematic equipment and machinery issues while finding innovative solutions to recurrent problems.
- Use multimeters and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Perform daily technician / maintenance activities during the shift.
- Work effectively in a team setting and promote teamwork and cooperation.
- Analyze work requirements and plan accordingly.
- Read and understand schematics, drawings, and manuals to establish facts and draw conclusions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrate math skills, including fractions, decimals, percentages, and the metric system.
- Familiarity with preventive and reliability-based maintenance.
- Food processing industry experience preferred.
