Job Description

Sr Facility Maintenance Technician

As a Sr. Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for safely maintaining, repairing, replacing, and modifying all processing, packaging, and facility equipment with optimal quality and efficiency. This role also includes supervisory responsibilities and functions.

Location : Lancaster, TX

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8AM-4 : 30PM

Pay rate : $28

Duties & Responsibilities :

Assist in planning repairs.
Demonstrate 100% functionality in completing work orders and logging corrective maintenance issues.
Perform minimal electrical repairs and troubleshoot AC & DC motor controls, solid-state motor controls, and test equipment.
Understand and align daily work activities with company objectives, including productivity, yields, food safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals.
Oversee or perform daily inspections, emergency repairs, routine adjustments, and periodic preventive maintenance.
Model professional workplace conduct and adhere to company policies, including GMP compliance, attendance, punctuality, efficiency, productivity, and hygiene.
Support Process Improvement (PI) projects and participate in safety teams.
Serve as a resource for resolving mechanical issues.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Skills & Qualifications :

Ability to learn mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and emergency repair skills.

Proficient in identifying and repairing equipment and machinery issues while finding innovative solutions to recurrent problems.

Experience using multimeters and other measuring instruments.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Capable of performing daily maintenance activities during the shift.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to read and understand schematics, drawings, and manuals to analyze and solve problems.

Strong math skills (fractions, decimals, percentages, metric system, ratios, and formulas).

Experience in preventive and reliability-based maintenance.

Food processing industry experience preferred.

Requirements :

Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Strong multitasking and time management skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Proficiency in using powered and non-powered tools.

Ability to assess and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.

Must be able to walk, bend, stand, and reach for extended periods.

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

High School Diploma or GED required.

3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Ability to take direction and ownership of assigned tasks.
