Job Summary
We are a family owned and operated company that has been in business since 1977. We specialize in starters and alternators, new and rebuilt. We're seeking an experienced Warehouse Worker to join our team in Bridgeview, IL. They would be responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting appropriate labels on outgoing parcels. The ideal candidate is hard working, highly organized and has experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
Core tasks :
Receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, conducting inventory checks, loading and unloading trucks.
Identify any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.
Ensuring that all the merchandise entering or leaving the warehouse packaged correctly, safely and securely and labeled for shipping.
Various other duties
Skills required :
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, basic math skills, physical ability to lift heavy objects.
Equipment usage :
Familiarity with warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred, but not required.
Hours :
Monday - Friday, 7 : 30am -4 : 30pm. Would consider part time applicants as well.
Qualifications
High school diploma / GED required, Associate’s degree preferred
Previous experience in warehouse or logistics is preferred
